NOW Kelp 150 mcg, 200 Tablets

NOW Kelp is an excellent source of iodine, which is essential for healthy thyroid function.

Kelp is a large, leafy brown seaweed that thrives in the colder parts of the oceans around the world.  It is an incredible source of marine minerals, such as potassium, magnesium, calcium, and iron. Additionally, Kelp is more than just a good source of iodine, proven to support the function of the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland releases the necessary hormones for the normal functioning of cellular metabolism. Like most green foods, Kelp also serves to provide vitamins and cellular salts.NOW Kelp is particularly rich in iodine. Iodine promotes the production of thyroid hormones that are necessary for maintaining metabolism. Iodine also helps regulate weight and affects the rate of overall metabolism. Iodine deficiency can slow metabolism by up to 50%, often leading to obesity and other related health issues.
