NOW 5-HTP 100mg, 60 Veg Capsules

NOW 5-HTP contains 5-hydroxytryptophan, which, when it enters the brain, is converted into the brain chemical serotonin.

5-hydroxytryptophan, or simply 5-HTP, is an amino acid that, when it enters the brain, is converted into the brain chemical serotonin. Serotonin is also known as 5-hydroxytryptophan and is mainly found in the brain, where it is synthesized, and in red blood cells. In the central nervous system, serotonin plays an extremely important role in controlling anger, aggression, body temperature, mood, sleep, appetite, as well as sexuality. Low levels of this hormone, also known as the “happiness hormone,” predispose individuals to increased aggression, deep depressive states, reduced libido and self-esteem, and other nervous disorders.

Research shows that people taking 5-hydroxytryptophan as a supplement report improvements in their mood, reduced appetite leading to weight loss, and peaceful sleep. 5-hydroxytryptophan helps reduce appetite and cravings for carbohydrates, leading to weight loss. 5-hydroxytryptophan is suitable for individuals aiming to improve their mood and reduce excess tension and stress.
